The Eastchester School District is seeking reliable and responsible individuals to work as School Bus Attendants.
Duties Supervise students on school buses to ensure safety and adherence to rules.
Assist with loading and unloading students at bus stops, including crossing streets if necessary.
Provide safety instructions to students.
Assist in creating emergency evacuation plans and conducting drills.
Take attendance and assign seats on the bus.
Write student conduct or incident reports as needed.
Familiarize with bus routes and stops.
Comply with all transportation regulations.
Requirements Physical condition suitable for the demands of the job.
Physical performance testing per NY Department of Education regulations.
Attend pre-service and Basic monitor courses.
Patience and effectiveness in working with elementary children.
Good relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Employment Terms Hours vary depending on school schedule.
Salary: $38.00 per hour.
NYSED Fingerprint Clearance required.
