** This is a hybrid-schedule (Albany, NY), 1+ year W2 contract with the potential to extend.
Position Overview
- The Program Manager will lead the statewide implementation of a new Data Governance Board Plan.
- This role will be responsible for driving execution of enterprise data management initiatives, coordinating governance bodies, and ensuring measurable progress across the complex state Medicaid environment.
- The ideal candidate is an experienced professional who can operate at both strategic and operational levels—facilitating collaboration, enforcing standards, and managing multiple high-visibility initiatives.
Required Skills
- 15+ years of experience implementing data governance frameworks or managing enterprise-level data programs
- Proven success leading data governance board design, policy development, or data management strategy execution
- Deep knowledge of data management principles such as DAMA, stewardship, metadata, and data quality
- Strong facilitation skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional and executive stakeholders
- Excellent organizational, analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Experience managing structured action plans and measurable outcomes
- PMP, Agile, or equivalent certification preferred
