We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Lakewood, Ohio. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to manage payroll operations for both hourly and salaried employees while ensuring accuracy and compliance. The role is primarily onsite, with some flexibility for remote tasks, and requires a meticulous individual with experience in payroll systems and reporting.

Responsibilities:
• Process payroll for hourly employees on a biweekly basis and salaried employees on a semi-monthly schedule.
• Post payroll data accurately to the General Ledger and maintain records.
• Collaborate with the HR team to ensure accurate data entry and timecard reconciliation.
• Prepare and manage various reports, including those related to profit sharing, wellness incentives, and severance.
• Utilize payroll software effectively to manage payroll systems and processes.
• Apply basic Excel formulas to handle data and reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll regulations and policies.
• Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive employee information.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.
• Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software.
• Strong knowledge of full-cycle payroll processes, including multi-state payroll.
• Ability to manage biweekly and semi-monthly payroll schedules.
• Familiarity with basic Excel formulas for data management.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
