Job Title: Outside Sales Representative
Location: Dallas, TX (80% travel required)
Our client, a concrete equipment supplier, is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to be based out of Dallas, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan to meet or exceed sales targets
- Identify and qualify prospective clients through cold calls, site visits, trade shows, and referrals
- Conduct on-site consultations to assess client needs and recommend custom batch plant solutions
- Present proposals, prepare quotes, and lead contract negotiations with clients
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and project management teams to ensure client requirements are met
- Provide post-sale support to ensure customer satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities
- Maintain detailed records in CRM software of sales activities, pipeline progress, and client interactions
- Stay current with industry trends, competitor offerings, and technological advancements in batching plant systems and equipment
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in outside/territory sales, preferably in construction equipment, industrial fabrication, or manufacturing sales
- Strong technical understanding of concrete batching systems, structural steel, or related equipment (preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to read construction blueprints and technical drawings (preferred)
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites and industry events
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Education & Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of B2B outside sales experience in industrial or construction markets
