Machine Operator (Production Associate)
Location: Durham, NC
Shift: 3rd Shift Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:30am
As a Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in assembling materials and operating equipment safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assembling materials and operating equipment within specifications.
- Measuring, assembling, applying chemicals, and transporting materials with precision.
- Verifying that solutions, materials, and finished products meet specifications before use or release.
- Handling raw materials and finished products with care to prevent damage.
- Operating equipment in accordance with safety guidelines and specifications.
- Maintaining process specifications and inspecting products for quality.
- Accurately recording process data and information.
- Making informed decisions based on gathered data.
- Communicating issues regarding products, processes, and data to supervisors or managers promptly.
Requirements for the Machine Operator:
- Reliable means of transportation.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Self-motivated with good basic math and written communication skills.
- Safety-conscious and willing to take on responsibility.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain good attendance.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read, follow instructions, and accurately record information.
- Work experience in an industrial environment with knowledge of general plant safety.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to mechanical noise, a dusty work environment, and varying temperatures.
Physical Requirements for the Machine Operator
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Standing for extended periods and performing physical activities like walking, stooping, bending, crouching, twisting, climbing, and kneeling.
