Job Description
Position Title: Maintenance Mechanic - Hourly
Location: Seneca Falls, NY
Shift: 2nd Shift (3:30pm-12am)
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required
Experience: 2-4 years of experience is required
Position Responsibilities:
Install, repair or move various sizes and types of foundry machinery and equipment
Maintain adequate stock of spare parts for foundry equipment
Use a lathe, drill, forge power hammer, and welding equipment to repair foundry machines
Replace parts in foundry equipment
Work from drawings, charts, and sketches, use micrometers, dividers, calipers, protractors and other tools as necessary to complete a repair job
All activities associated with the analysis and repair of all electrical and mechanical problems on foundry systems and equipment
May be responsible for minor plumbing and welding
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; trade school or trade training is preferred
2-4 years of experience is required
Ability to work from sketches, drawings, layouts or general instructions for repairs
Ability to use scale, ruler, level, calipers, micrometer, etc for repairs
Knowledge of elementary mechanic, power transmission problems and foundry machines
